R.E.S.P.E.C.T is a M.U.S.T

What was once said to be a “dying” organization, JCI Aklan Kalantiao rose from the ashes, redefined its fate, and triumphed. This is JCI Aklan Kalantiao – roaring with 66 members; now, the largest JCI local organization in Western Visayas.
For JCI Aklan Kalantiao, success did not happen overnight, through a single person, nor was it easy. The key is in committing to “put members first”, done through R.E.S.P.E.C.T (framework):
Reflect – by assessing its failures, strengths and purpose, JCI Aklan Kalantiao evaluates what is “value-adding to members and the organization”
Empower – JCI Aklan Kalantiao emphasizes members’ development and provides opportunities for growth; JCI-AK created a
“road for members to Be Better”
Service – JCI Aklan Kalantiao is not a charity organization but utilizes service as “a venue for leadership and purpose”
Promote – JCI Aklan Kalantiao consistently communicates its activities, advocacies and outputs to its community, taking “pride in its work to attract similar-minded individuals” Enterprise – JCI Aklan Kalantiao develops its members and the community, including their livelihoods. JCI Aklan Kalantiao placed “economic justice” as a critical purpose
Challenge – JCI Aklan Kalantiao understands that problems demand innovations; thus, JCI-AK levels-up its programs by embracing the “UNSDG’s”
Transfer – JCI Aklan Kalantiao learned from the pandemic, the criticality of succession and commitment to long-term plans; JCI Aklan Kalantiao “develops leaders in a changing world”.
